My horse is a superstar!

On March 15th, my horse, Grit, and I had a trillium show at the RCRA.
My day started when my alarm went off at 3:03am. To wake up and smell the pancakes my mother had made for me. I ate them and we were off to PAEC to get my horse ready to trailer out for show day! Show day started with trailering out from PAEC to RCRA at 6 am so we could be ready for warm up at 7. The show started at 8:30 am.  Warm up went well and we had about an hour until my classes went.

After an hour of waiting it was finally time to compete. We go in and our first course was amazing. All the strides were there and my horse did awesome. Our second course went pretty well with a few mistakes but still good. And our third course was by far the best course of the day. Everything was perfect. I then had to sit around and wait for 3 hours until my hack class went.

3 hours pass and finally the hack class starts. In the warm  up ring you would have thought we would win the hack, and then we got out there and it was like my horses tail was lit on fire. It was a horrible hack. So i get off my horse after and my mom volunteers to cool him out for me and tells me to go to the show ring for the ribbons and placings. I figured I would place in one of my courses.

First course, we get a third. Second course we get a fourth. and Third course we get a second!  I was so happy i start walking away to find my mom when i hear my coach calling my name. I turn around to see her waving a huge ribbon. I had won Reserve Champion ( second overall out of 30) . I was jumping up and down! We go outside to find my mom and she was crying. I know crying. how embarrassing. She hadn't even heard that I was Reserve. When my coach pulled the ribbon from behind her my mom gave me the biggest hug while crying. She's so cute! haha .

My horse was amazing and looked stunning that day! He loves showing and it was a great start to the show season!

Next Show . April 11th 2009.
